Wright Baptist Church...
We believe in the one, true God; Self-existent, Creator of the universe. He exists in three distinct persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, truly God and co-equal with His Father in every way. Jesus willingly emptied Himself to take on human flesh, live a sinless life, and give Himself as the ransom for our sin by dying on the cross and rising again.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third and distinct person in the Trinity whom the Father has sent to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. His ministry to believers is that of uniting us to Christ and sealing us for the day of redemption. He guides us and illuminates God's Word to our understanding.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is sufficient for all matters of life, faith, and practice. Faith to trust in Jesus Christ comes through the Word of God making us wise to salvation. We believe that the Scriptures should be interpreted in its literal-historical-grammatical context.
We believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. Christ's death on the cross was the full payment for the sins of the world and stands as a gift of everlasting life to anyone who will believe on Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.
We believe that the church (universal) is comprised of every person who has believed in Jesus Christ for salvation through the ages. Believers are commanded to gather in local assemblies for the purpose of glorifying God, building up one another in love, and reaching our communities with the hope of Christ.
